How do I write an email to my contact list explaining I am moving to another job with poise?
I am leaving the position of associate editor at a magazine and will be moving into the freelance field. I would like to alert my contacts that I will no longer be with X company–but as a freelance agent.
I do not want to insinuate I am leaving for any particular reason, or because there was a problem with my current employer.
I of course want them to update their information with my new contact info.

What is Freelance Photography? What if you love photography so much you wish you could do it for a living? I mean, you actually get paid for your photographs! But you work solely for yourself, selling each photo or series of photos individually. You don’t have a boss. You work sometimes on assignment and you may sell to magazines. That is freelance photography. Freelance photography may be your entire career or it may start out as something you do in your spare time but begin making money from it. It’s just like freelance writing in this sense that many people…
How much does a freelance writer usually get paid for writing an article in a magazine?
I have my bachelor’s in journalism. My ideal job would be to write feature stories for a magazine or newspaper, but I haven’t found that job yet (out of college three years).
My dad wants me to do something that will make lots of money, even though my true passion is writing. I’m not a people person and I often overlook the simplest of things so a doctor or a surgeon is a death sentence for me. I’ve settled on becoming a pharmacist, which is something I’ve actually thought about since 7th grade and thought I might enjoy. And if I do become successful in that field, I still want to write. Not novelist or J.K. Rowling writer but kind of mellow and for pleasure. But lately I’ve been hearing a lot…
I would like to find out how I can become a Freelance Writer for Magazines?
I was a full-time regular employee with a magazine. I was downsized last week, but they still want me to write articles for them on a freelance basis, meaning I have to fill out a W-9 form. I have applied for Unemployment, and I already know that what I’ll be getting from the government will be better and more steady than what my old job would be paying me. Can I do both? Or will working freelance for my old job cut into, or even disqualify me for, my Unemployment benefits? BTW, I’m in NJ. Thanks in advance!
I am a documentary filmmaker and freelance writer. I am also a new mom and want to devote next few years of my life to rasing my child. From all I have heard Saudi is a great place to do that and my husband is willing to move there. However, I will like to be able to write for internet or international magazines from home. Is it possible? Also r there part time jobs for women in magazines? I know English but do not know any arabic.
In other words how can you become a freelance writer?
So I have recently developed an interest in the freelance business and have just completed writing my first article. I am satisfied with it, but not sure what the next step might be.
