Aside from being paid for research and writing time, there are other things (meetings, hour long phone calls, interviews, etc) that go along with freelance writing. All of these aspects take time, which an “on the clock” job would pay you for. So how, as a freelancer, do you ensure that you aren’t giving away precious time? masters I’ve considered include integrated marketing communications and public relations
certificates I’ve considered so far include graphic design, copy editing, and project management.

Of course, I already have a bachelors in journalism / public relations. I’ve just had a really hard time getting so much as interviews, let alone a job in the field. Currently I’m freelance writing to stay in the field as much as possible.

I will be moving in the fall and I need about ,000 extra to fund the move.

I signed up with a temp agency and the manager there said that she would have no problem placing me. In addition to that I applied to various retail jobs. I also do freelance writing but I don’t have enough time to write up to ,000 (because I have a small child at home.)

Any ideas on how I can make ,000 from now until September 1st?

I keep seeing all these “work-from-home” jobs that require you to buy something, pay for a service, or are just plain crap. I’m curious — besides freelance writing and editing html, are there any real jobs you can do from home? I know of ChaCha, though I hear that doesn’t pay so well. (And don’t give me any “get a real job slacker” because that’s not what I want to hear.)
