Hi,
I really am a full- time starving artist and freelance writer. Recently, I did a small writing project for a local company, but they want me to send an invoice in order to get paid. They said I could hand- write something out. Could I write something like this ?
I,…….completed a small writing project for….Corp on 0/0/08. The agreed- upon payment by….Corp to…. is $100.00. Is that an acceptable invoice ? Also, for Income Tax purposes, is that okay ? Do I need a receipt, or just a copy of the check ? I hate to sound so naive, but I don’t even live near any store that would sell invoices and I don’t have a working computer printer or really have access to one.

I like to write, a lot. I was wondering if there was any sort of job for amateur writers in places such as local newspapers, with the articles being paid for or something. I will wrote practically anything, however! Anyone got any ideas?

I’m applying for a freelance writing gig. The ad says “Submit complete ms or query and two clips of published work with SASE”…this may be stupid, but what exactly does it mean by “ms or query,” and what is SASE?
I did a little research and found out that SASE means self addressed stamped enveloped…simpler than I thought! lol…but still, what is qs or query?
