Let’s start with the article itself. We know that it needs to be informative and relative. The topic most be well written and in good form. Your spelling and grammar should be checked and doubled checked, and your word count needs to be at least 300. Many article sites require more than that. Read submission requirements before adding your articles.

The wonderful part about article writing is that you are able to add your link to the bottom of each article which gives your website exposure (for free). Many have a resource box where you list a short bio of yourself and/or a pitch on your website.

With most article sites they include, RSS feeds which allows even great exposure for you.

 

What You Need To Know:

In a recent interview with Christopher Knight, the owner of Ezines.com, by Net Biz Review, he explained a few thing that an article writer you must keep in mind.

“…1-10 articles is not enough. Write, submit, and track the records from 50-100 articles before determining if this strategy is right for you.”

“…the real spoils, in terms of massive gobs of qualified visitors and targeted traffic coming back to the author’s website mainly went to the top 14% of our authors who submitted more than 11 articles or more.”

So as we can see, power is in the numbers. Writing more articles increases your exposure and thus your traffic. There are other places to add these writings.

 

Bloggers:

For those writing articles in other places, such as bloggers, you will want to post your blogs and then burn your feeds. This is an RSS.

 

What is an RSS?

An RSS is a web feed format used to publish your blog (s). This feed allows your blog to be published once but be viewed by many different types of programs. It is referred to as Really Simple Syndication. To burn your own feed: http://www.feedburner.com/fb/a/home (this is of no charge).

 

For Your Website:

For your website there are feed icons. I recommend the icons through Mozilla Firefox Foundation. They are made them to be freely used. Read their guidelines before using them. Their service is for the community wanting to use the icon for their products and services.

 

Conclusion:

The more articles that you write and the more blogs that you post will benefit you and your website. Add your blogs to RSS as well as implementing the icon onto your website. The point is to draw attention in every manner possible. This will also raise your rankings in the search engines as well, and we all want that!

In order to become a winner with your internet business, you must drive traffic to your website.  In actual fact, the more traffic you drive to your website, the more successful you are likely to become.

You need to encourage strong levels of traffic to go to your website.  Don’t worry about how well you convert at this time you can focus on conversion rates later.  You are not going to make much money unless you drive massive traffic to your site.  No matter how little traffic you are achieving at the moment you can always double, triple or maybe even create ten times more traffic than you are currently driving to your site in order to become a winner.

1 – When you write and submit your articles to the various article directories, traffic will be driven to your site mainly because the reputable directories are ranked highly on Google.  It is important that you chose a good keyword here.  You also need to include a direct link to your site in each of your articles, and it’s important that your articles are written in a compelling and easy-to-read fashion.  If you do the right things, your website can show up in the top 10 results of Yahoo! or Google search engines within weeks.  The sort of traffic you get through your articles is very highly responsive and very targeted.

2 – The second way you can drive traffic using articles is by following a simple method of submitting the right articles to the right article directory to generate back links.  This method will optimize your web pages via your article, and you could quickly build up your back link numbers through Yahoo! and Google and therefore get your site ranked highly for many keywords.  This method will take a little bit longer, but it’s worth it in the end.

So if you’re looking for success and you’d like to be a winner, focus your efforts on writing and submitting articles and learning the techniques that writing articles can achieve.

My first task of the day is to create my articles. Before I focus on any other task for the day, before I work on any other stuff that needs to be done, I will write between 10 and 20 articles and submit them online. Articles are for lead generation. And they are very powerful and generating good quality traffic. And I need to consistently bring in leads into my list so that I can consistently increase my monthly income.

When I produce my articles and do so in the knowledge that that the search engines are constantly looking for new, fresh content. Search engines favour the newest content possible. It does not matter that I say the same stuff I said a week ago, so long as I am not copying text previously submitted, you must not copy and paste text, so long as what I am saying is being said using different words, the concept and idea can be the same, then the search engines will promote my articles.

Now, I want to talk about the number of words your articles should be. When I first began writing articles, my articles were about 250 words. But now all the articles I create, everything that I write must be a minimum of 400 words.

The issue here with the word count is that it is important that your reader reads through to the end of your article to find and click on to your link. If your article is of say 600 words, then you reduce the number of readers who will read to the end to find your link.

Now, if you are adventurous you could spend 2 or three weeks writing articles of say 400 words and then follow that with a further 2 or three weeks of writing articles of say 600 words. And then compare the number of readers that that actually click onto your article with the number that actually click on to your web site.

Another factor to take into consideration is the fact that I have found that those 250 word articles I wrote at the beginning of my article writing, no longer bring in the amount of traffic that they used to even though they are constantly being recycled by the search engines. I suspect it has to do with the word count and just to ensure that all my articles get read today and tomorrow, I prefer to use 450 words as my word count for them.

And the goal here is to achieve the highest number of readers as you can to your articles and then to convert as many readers to subscribers via your squeeze page.

One last article writing tip is to give your readers a call to action. That way, they won’t feel they wasted their time reading your article. When they leave with something useful they are more likely to return.
