can someone explain this please 10 points?
I am different than my friends and realtives in my small community.they all took 9-5 jobs, got married and had babies.i went to uni and done creative wriying.took a job in publishing.didn’t like it, i split with my guy and am now back home, unemployed but doing freelance writing. my family think i am mad-when i am quite smart. they either snub me or talk to me in a way that spells ‘poor sick little girl’ at social gatherings.it hurts me just coz i am different from them.and they won’t look at my point of view.why is this??

It’s that old thing called jealousy. You have struck out on your own and achieved something. Okay, things are tough just now, but things are tough everywhere. Keep up the freelance and do not let small town small minds get you down. You are bigger than this. Show them you are a success in your field, head up and walk tall.
They think they are above you when they actually are under your feet. 95% of the Earths population is just born to be a biological mass that follows the finger of the conductor. Follow your own path, no one has the right to judge your nature.
I think it’s brilliant you’re following your own path in life (wish I could do that!), they’re snubbing you and telling you that you won’t get anywhere because they’ve taken the well-worn road and stuck in a rut. You’re not only freelance, you’re free-spirited and have so many options at your feet ;)
