How much of the content on the web is junk?

As far as i know there are tons of old outdated and abandoned websites and even more articles and websites that are written solely for SEO and internet marketing purposes. Does anyone have an estimate about the percentage of legit content vs. fake / outdated / duplicate content?

Really hard to know and there is a ton of junk out there. I think I have read enough of that to know.
I doubt if anyone knows the figure though
Hey there I can understand your concern and woory coz even I ‘ve read a lot of junk .But know FTC have made some more regulations and are in effect from 1st december , so number of fake websites must have drastically reduced.
But yes probably know one can have the figures youre asking for.

Quite a lot of the content on the web is all the same its not like its junk its just that people explain things in various ways which is why there is alot of duplicate content on the internet.
