Can anyone offer a little advice to a newbie freelance writer?
I’ve decided, with a little encouragement from my family, to give freelance writing a try.
I’ve had a few small publications online and in school papers but when it comes to actually ‘getting serious’ i’m more than a little bit clueless.
I’ve an article in mind that’d be well suited to pre teen girls, so i thought i could submit it to a magazine like ‘Shout’ or ‘Mizz’. The only thing is, i have no idea how to go about it, or if they even accept articles from outside sources.
Any suggestions?

Well you have to contact them. Usually they look for educated writers, with an idea of the media so I can’t say for sure. Having links surely help!
Try and try again. Persistance is key. As well as a large variety, when it comes to the way you contact them. Email, letters, phone calls… They will listen eventually.
