How to get paid for freelance work?

Hi! I’m trying to look for freelance or part-time online work mainly through craigslist.com. How do I get paid for the freelance work? Do they give through checks usually? Or something else? Please provide me some tips to break into the freelance writing/editing world!!

how to get paid ?
Firstly, register for free (I will be thankfull if you use my referal links:) )
Then search for projects you can do.
Then Bid on it: tell him your price ( you can see prices of other bidder to compete them ), and some infos or what you will do.
Wait until the buyer choose a freelancer, and in that time, you search another project and you bid on …
In the second link above, you are limited for a max number of bids per month.
How buyer pay you ?
if you are choosed, you will do the job while the money is in escrow ( in safe place when you will be sure that: 1-They buyer had the money ready 2-You will get paid, as in escrow buyer can’t cancel the payment, and freelancer can’t use it yet, until the buyer release it, please read more in the websites)
You can also get payed by paypal or watherver you ask :)
How do tjhey send money to you?
If you choosed the escrow of scriptlance and getafreelancer, the money will be in your balance in the website, then you can getthe money by:

Bank wire
Paypal
