How can I transition to a copyediting career?

Have been working in advertising/marketing for 11 years and have done my fair share of both copywriting and editing. Also have a B.A. in Journalism. Looking to make a career change to focus solely on editing. How do i do this while still earning a living?

Honestly, apply to newspapers. Just make sure you’re up on your symbols (copyediting symbols, not book editing symbols). Newspapers need editors.
